‘Suicide Squad 2’ News & Updates: Is It Really Happening? Here’s Everything You Need To Know!

After the success of ‘Suicide Squad’, the fans of the blockbuster hit is now aiming for the release of ‘Suicide Squad 2’. Here is everything that you need to know about it1

According to Wikipedia Suicide Squad was a blockbuster movie grossing over $745 million and is the tenth highest-grossing film of 2016. A lot of people fell in love with these super villains turned superheroes. It was a much-anticipated movie before its release and now, there’s more of them to see on the Suicide Squad 2. Warner Bros. confirmed a part two but there may be a few changes. Rumor has it that they are courting Mel Gibson to direct the film.

Mel Gibson has been making a comeback after his 10-year hiatus. He recently directed Racksaw Ridge which received a lot of awards and nominations. Now, he is being eyed for Suicide Squad 2. However, there is just a teeny tiny bit of a problem.

Mel Gibson is not really fond of superhero movies. In fact, he trashed it. As he quoted, “Batman vs. Superman: Dawn of Justice” was a “piece of shit”. He is baffled by the cost of the superhero movies. He believes that they can make superhero movies without investing much. This is according to his interview published in Cinema Blend

Of course, Mel Gibson’s statements make sense. Let’s take “Deadpool” for example. The production cost was only $58 million and it earned up to $760 million. What a huge number. Because of these, Mel Gibson directing Suicide Squad 2 has been making some noise. The views of the people are divided. Some say it’s going to exciting and some disagree. Whatever it turns out to be, I guess the sequel will also be a blockbuster hit.

One thing is for sure. There will be a Suicide Squad 2. As to when will it be released, who will be the director, what will be the changes is still not certain. Here is some fan-made Suicide Squad 2 trailer:
